Financial Assistance

Eligible Singapore Citizen students from lower-income families can receive help with school fees, meals, transport, and more. Apply through the MOE Financial Assistance Scheme today.

The Ministry of Education provides financial assistance to needy Singapore Citizen students in Government or Government-Aided Schools. The income limits and type of assistance given to needy students in Government or Government-Aided Schools under this financial assistance scheme are shown below:

Income Limits

Gross household income ≤ $4000 per month; or
Per capita income ≤ $1000 per month

Benefit Under Scheme

The benefits of MOE FAS include the following:

Item	Academic Level – Secondary
School Fees	Full subsidy of $5.00 per month
Standard Miscellaneous Fee	Full subsidy of $20.00 per month
Textbooks	Free textbooks
School attire	Uniforms (2 sets) PE attire (2 sets) Shoes (1 pair) Socks (2 pairs)
School Meal Subsidy*	$4.10 per meal for 10 meals per school week
Transport Subsidy**	$21 per month or $252 per annum in the form of an E-Voucher redeemable at Transitlink Add Value Machines (AVMs)
