Criteria for Promotion

Express

Sec 1 Express	Pass in EL and a pass percentage in the average of all subjects.
Sec 2 Express	Pass in EL and a pass percentage in the average of all subjects.
Sec 3 Express	Pass in EL and 2 other subjects	Promoted to Sec 4 Express
	Pass in 5 subjects	Advance to Sec 4 Express

N(A)

Sec 1 N(A)	Grade 5 or better in a) EL and 2 other subjects OR b) 4 Subjects
Sec 2 N(A)
Sec 3 N(A)
Sec 4 N(A) – for promotion to sec 5 N(A)	EL≤ 5 EL+Maths+B3 ≤ 19 (EL-Maths-B3 refer to the aggregate score of English Language, Mathematics and best 3 subjects at the ‘N’ Level examinations)

*All subjects used in the computation of the ELMAB3 or ELB3/MAB3 aggregate must be graded at least an ‘N’ level grade 5, i.e. there is no change from the established practices of computing the aggregate.
